If I want one mod for one profile, I do not want to have to edit my profile 15 times aday just to have that mod turned on. So what you are saying is to edit your one profile everytime you want to change maps? Thats a big hastle in my books.

Why in the heck would you want to drive separate drivers with different levels of completion on separate maps instead of one?

Plus, having ALL the mod maps on one profile means you have the SAME ACCESS to the entire world (particularly with purchased garages for travel points) the SAME COMPLETION PERCENTAGE of cities visited and roads driven, and ONE LEVEL of experience and money for one driver.

ON THE SAME PROFILE.īut hey, if disabling/enabling mods is a chore for you, don't do it, I guess. For a good example of this, watch the channel "ForTheVoyeur" (all sims, nothing tawdry!) on He streams ETS2 like 6 hours a day, and has put in hundreds of thousands of miles on ProMods, and recently switched to TSM to do the same. Why in the heck would you want to drive separate drivers with different levels of completion on separate maps instead of one?Īnd it's not like you're taking that one minute to switch maps every time you drive, one usually drives a certain map mod for tens of thousands of KM/Miles between switching, at least I do. Plus, having ALL the mod maps on one profile means you have the SAME ACCESS to the entire world (particularly with purchased garages for travel points) the SAME COMPLETION PERCENTAGE of cities visited and roads driven (not compiled into one big amount, obviously), and ONE LEVEL of experience and money for one driver. If you're using Mods AT ALL, one is constantly disabling/enabling mods, unless you found a perfect set of some kind and never touch it. You can't safely use multiple mod trucks at the same time so those have to be switched when new ones are tried out, various physics mods have conflicts at different times, different sound, engine, transmission, and decorative mods come out new for existing mod trucks, new weather mods and graphics mods come out and need to be changed, and NEW VERSIONS of the maps come out and need to be deleted and reactivated! So what? If you use ANY mods, you are constantly going into profiles and editing them! And it doesn't take very long anyway, a minute or two. it saves going into edit and disabling/enabling maps everytime you want to change. What CAN become an issue is when people hire drivers on the map mods' specific cities (never do that - only do it on the base or official dlc maps' cities, turn off map mods when you hire to be sure.) or they lose track of the thousand other mods (weather, physics, trailers, trucks, etc) that they have left on. It simply isn't true that you need separate profiles for the different maps. I've had to restore from this backup once so far in about six months.

Though I do make manual profile backups to cover any types of corruptions from who knows what. It's hilarious because my documents folder for ETS2 has auto generated profile backups for over a dozen versions, and I didn't create any of those backups or do anything to load the latest one into the game, it's all automatic. The only map I've ever made a separate profile for was Hungary because it's a stand alone world. I even have the same profile though all the recent updates of the game including betas, and multiple versions of both map mods. I've run a SINGLE profile for TSM and ProMods for ages. Also, Promods 1.62 and Tsm 4.7.1 are out now, so it may be worth looking into. If you are going to run any other map mod's, again you will need a new profile for each. So you will have to use one profile for Promods and a second one for TSM. Whom ever told you that you could change mods is lieing to you.
